The Jungle Mountain Retreat Kufri

if you love nature and want to spend some good quality time either with yourself or with family/friends, then look no further,.. because this is the place to be. The property is located on the Chail - Kufri Road (approx 6 KM away from the main Kufri Market). This means, this place is in close proximity to Mashobra, Fagu, Chail and even Shimla (chail and shimla will be in the range of 20 - 29 KMS). The last 2. 5 KM (approach road to the hotel) will give you an off-roading experience. The road is generally wide and you can drive comfortably, barring a few narrow stretch.... but thats ok.... it can be managed easily with a pair of careful eyes.... Below are the positives: 1) its a brand new grand place surrounded by thick forest (apple plantation and others) 2) good and ample parking space available 3) fantastic staff who are quite professional 4) rooms are neat and clean (the washrooms are fantastic) 5) the housekeeping staff are as good as you will find in any branded hotel 6) the beds are cozy and the blankets are super comfortable 7) i didnt notice any unwanted dirt on the bed sheets or bath towels, which means the laundry is working fine 8) the food is yummy (lesser the crowd, yummier the food :)) 9) nice bonfire arrangement on the wide open parking lot with music, which you may attend if you wish to 10) A special shout out to Chef Santosh and his team. He makes good food... really good food. Try his simple Daal Khichri and you will fall in love with the simplicity. If you have a knack for going wild with Non-Veg stuff, then the Chicken dumplings are Heavenly. In Short, he and his team are a gem 11) Some of the names that I remember are Om Prakash Verma (support staff), Sanjana (support staff), Hari Dutt (Guard), Shalini (front desk), and the fantastic Satish Kumar (GM) and the countless other people whose names I fail to recollect.... Scope for Improvement: 1) the restaurant (Oregano) has a fantastic view...but it gets a bit chilly at night. Even though heaters are there, i think the flooring could be made wooden with some warm carpets covering the walls.. In short, the restaurant could be made a lot more warmer 2) if there is less occupancy, then immediate availability of warm water could be a time taking process as we have to drain a lot of cold water. This leads to wastage of precious water which should be saved thats it..... go ahead and enjoy this fantastic place..... !!! keep it up Team JMR !!!

Stay was an experience in itself . The view was exquisite and highlight of the stay. The rooms were top notch and amazingg The service was very very good. The view form the restaurant is also amazing and the location is quite far from the city but too fabulous Just awesome The way to the propery is off road and bit scary as the road is all stony road and thru mountains steep rise to hotel which becomes bit tough for the driver!! but if you like adventure and are not afraid of lonely road especially at night when it becomes more scary then it is nice place to stay.. We’ll come back soon

It's a nice experience to stay at jungle mountain retreat. The sunrise view from the room balcony is mesmerizing the ambience of the room and hotel is very nice along with food quality is good and meet the expections. The hotel stuff is very cordial and help to make our stay comfortable Well equipped rooms with all the modern amenities available in the room with balcony and beautiful view of sunrise and sunset. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient.
